Mada selects Moto for WiMAX improvements

16 Sep 2010

Motorola has announced that Kuwaiti-owned Mada has selected its WAP 650 kit to enhance its WiMAX offering across the Kingdom of Jordan. Mada claims to be the largest wireless internet provider in Jordan, with coverage of Amman, Aqaba, Irbid, Madaba, Zarqa, Salt, Dead Sea, Jerash and Ramtha. ‘Motorola has worked with Mada since 2008 when we signed our first contract and began designing and deploying its system. This recent expansion across Jordan offers better quality and faster wireless broadband services to more people nationwide, enabling optimal performance, flexibility, security and service quality,’ said Ali Amer, vice president and general manager, Motorola Solutions EMEA.

Mada launched commercial services on the Motorola end-to-end WiMAX network in March 2009. It offers wireless broadband access, including voice and mobile high speed data, to customers and internet service providers across the region.
