TeliaSonera Sweden (Telia) has launched commercial 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile broadband services in Malmo, the fourth city to receive coverage following launches in Stockholm (December 2009), Visby (June 2010) and Gothenburg (August). The Malmo LTE network currently covers the city centre and Western harbour. Telia has increased its LTE rollout plan to cover 228 Swedish towns and cities by the end of next year; the network offers download speeds of up to approximately 80Mbps.
