TFL poised to unveil NGN

23 Aug 2010

A report in yesterday’s FBC News says that Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) will soon unveil its FJD40 million (USD20.6 million) next generation network (NGN) in Fiji. The chief executive of the telco’s parent company Amalgamated Telecoms Holdings, Tomasi Vakatora, says the NGN will replace the obsolete telephone exchange at Suva – hopefully by the end of the month. A further investment of FJD20 million is being scheduled to develop the telco’s NGN in western Viti Levu and the Northern Division, Vakatora added.
