KPN snaps up Yes Telecom

The Netherlands’ largest telecoms operator KPN has acquired local mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Yes Telecom, it has announced. No financial details were disclosed. Yes Telecom uses KPN’s mobile phone network to provide services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Netherlands and the buy-out is designed to strengthen KPN’s position in the SME segment. The Yes Telecom brand name will continue for the moment at least, within the KPN portfolio.
