Choice to launch WiMAX service ‘soon’

21 Jun 2010

Virgin Islands-based telco Choice, a subsidiary of Atlantic Tele-Network (ATN), is reported to have made a ‘very substantial investment’ in a mobile WiMAX network. Company officials declined to comment on how much has been invested in the new infrastructure, how much of the system has been built, or exactly how fast internet speeds will be on the new platform. It also declined to comment on how the system will affect the company’s current pricing or to give an indication, beyond ‘soon’, of when the system will be up and running.
