14 Apr 2010

Fijian fixed line operator Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) has reportedly welcomed the decision by the regulator, the Commerce Commission (ComCom), to regulate the charges set by the country’s international services provider Fiji International Telecommunications Limited (FINTEL), and says this will allow it to provide end users with cheaper access to internet services. TFL acting chief executive officer Sakiasi Seru is quoted by FijiVillage.com as saying that consumers will benefit from cheaper access to the Southern Cross cable in the future.
