SaskTel reports 2009 results

Saskatchewan full-service telco SaskTel has reported its financial results for 2009, including consolidated revenues that reached CAD1.15 billion (USD1.14 billion), up by CAD14 million from 2008, whilst it posted net income of CAD129 million. Highlights included wireless revenues that increased by 6.5% year-on-year to CAD376 million as total cellular accesses increased by 39,000 in the twelve months, to 541,105. IPTV under the ‘Max Entertainment’ brand saw revenues increase by CAD13.5 million compared to the previous year and service users grow to 77,831 by end-2009, whilst the telco’s number of high speed internet subscribers reached 225,125 at the same date, up by 9,000 in the year.
