CityCell expands Zoom Ultra EV-DO to Chittagong

Bangladeshi CDMA2000-based cellco CityCell has expanded its ‘Zoom Ultra’ mobile broadband internet service to the city of Chittagong. Ultra runs on 1xEV-DO technology, providing mobile download speeds of up to 512kbps, whilst offering downward compatibility with CityCell’s Zoom 1x network, which covers all 64 districts of the country. Connectivity is via plug-and-play USB modem for laptop or desktop PC users. Prior to the expansion, Zoom Ultra was available only in Dhaka, in the following areas of the capital city: Motijheel, Dhanmondi, Banani, Gulshan, Baridhara and Uttara.
