Ericsson to roll out VDSL2 across TeliaSonera’s Scandinavian operations

Swedish equipment manufacturer Ericsson has won a contract to upgrade the fixed broadband networks of the TeliaSonera group in Sweden, Denmark and Norway with VDSL2 technology for an undisclosed sum. Ericsson has agreed to provide a combined broadband access network of one million VDSL2 lines across the three Scandinavian countries, with deployment starting at TeliaSonera Sweden and due for completion at Telia Denmark and NextGenTel in Norway in the next twelve months.
