Imagine receive EUR2m cash injection from shareholders

Irish alternative telecoms provider Irish Broadband (Imagine Communications), led by the entrepreneur Sean Bolger, has received a cash injection of EUR2.0 million (USD2.8 million) from two of its main shareholders – NTR and London-based private equity firm DFJ Esprit Capital. The Irish Independent writes that each investor stumped up EUR1 million in investment in Imagine, raising the total amount invested by the pair since June last year to EUR4 million. Imagine is spending EUR100 million to upgrade its existing national infrastructure to be WiMAX-enabled.
