Level 3 inks deal with PLDT in the Philippines

19 Jan 2010

Level 3 Communications yesterday signed an agreement with Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) to provide the latter with connectivity to the Asia America Gateway submarine cable system. PLDT will purchase services on Level 3’s network at the landing station for AAG on the west coast of the US. Access to the consortium cable will help carry the Filipino telco’s voice, data and video traffic between Asia and North America, it said in a statement.
