Digiweb purchases Internet Ireland

Irish alternative broadband services provider Digiweb yesterday announced the purchase of fellow operator Internet Ireland, whose service portfolio includes web hosting, data centre co-location, managed email solutions, broadband and leased lines. In a statement Digiweb said Internet Ireland personnel will be transferred to Digiweb’s Dublin offices and data centre over the next few weeks. Digiweb’s takeover of Internet Ireland bolsters the group’s assets which were recently enhanced by the addition of Smart Telecom.
