DTAC sets stall out for 2010

8 Jan 2010

Thailand’s second largest cellco by subscribers, DTAC, says it is aiming for 800,000 net new additions in 2010, below the one million it gained in 2009. According to Reuters, the company, which is controlled by Telenor, also said it would focus its attentions on lower income customers. The senior exective in charge of DTAC’s pre-paid business, Ketchayong Skowratananont, told reporters that following an improving local economy the company’s earnings bounced back in the fourth quarter of 2009 after net income fell 11% during the third quarter. Full financial results for the three months ending 31 December 2009 are expected to be released in February.
