TOT told to improve 3G network

Thailand’s ICT Minister Ranongruk Suwanchawee revealed yesterday that she has told TOT to improve the quality of its 3G service within 90 days. According to local newspaper The Nation, TOT must ensure the 1900MHz network works well in Bangkok within three months. The minister also said that TOT is drafting a business plan to launch 3G services in major tourist areas as part of a second phase of expansion. The plan is to be submitted to the National Economic and Social Development Board for approval by the middle of the year.
