3G tests put DAVE on schedule for early 2010 launch

9 Dec 2009

Canadian mobile start-up DAVE Wireless has announced the successful completion of tests on a 3G network built by Ericsson, putting it on schedule for a commercial launch in early 2010. DAVE is licensed to offer wireless services in the 2GHz frequency range in ten of the country’s 13 largest cities, and has recently launched a campaign urging potential subscribers not to lock themselves into long contracts with established operators such as Bell and Telus, which jointly launched a commercial nationwide HSPA network last month.
