GP shares hit bourse on Monday

Shares in Bangladesh’s largest cellco by subscribers, GrameenPhone (GP), will be traded on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Monday 16 November, following the largest share issue in the country’s history, the president of the bourse, Rakibur Rahman, told bdnews24.com yesterday. Chittagong Stock Exchange is also likely to start trading GP shares on the same day, the news site reported. The company’s record initial public offering (IPO) closed last month after attracting subscriptions worth BDT17.25 billion (USD254 million) from over a million prospective investors.
