Phase3 updates international fibre-optic launch plans

Nigerian carriers’ carrier Phase3 Telecoms has revealed that it will light a terrestrial fibre-optic long-distance route linking Lagos in Nigeria with Accra in Ghana in the second quarter of 2010, and plans to deploy additional routes linking Nigeria to landlocked countries, reports BalancingAct. Phase3 also has an agreement with power utility Communaute Electrique du Benin to operate fibre services along its electricity cable network route.
