NSN inks VoIP upgrade deal with Ziggo

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has won a contract from Dutch cableco Zesko Holdings (Ziggo) to expand and upgrade its VoIP network. Under the deal, financial details of which were not disclosed, the vendor will expand, upgrade and optimise the cable operator’s entire VoIP network to enable easy and fast implementation of new services, including a simplified, user-friendly voicemail platform. NSN will start delivering equipment this month with the scheduled implementation of commercial services slated for H1 2010.
