Gamacom to deploy WiMAX by year-end

Peruvian telco Gamacom expects to deploy WiMAX equipment across some rural municipalities in Huanuco and Pasco by the end of the year, according to BNamericas which cites company commercial manager Christian Palma. Gamacom currently offers domestic and international long-distance telephony over WiMAX networks in three rural municipalities in the department of Pasco. Palma said that the company has also launched local telephony services in these localities.
