Craig Wireless to deploy WiMAX network in Vancouver

Motorola has signed an agreement with Western Canadian ISP Craig Wireless Systems to roll out an 802.16e WiMAX network in Vancouver. Under the terms of the deal, the vendor will provide its end-to-end WiMAX solution, including base stations, wireless access controllers and an operation and maintenance centre (OMC). Motorola will also provide supporting services for network design, planning, installation and optimisation for end-to-end integration of the network, which will operate in the 2.5GHz spectrum band. No financial details were disclosed.
