Eight wireless licence bidders named

Serbia’s telecoms regulator Ratel has named eight companies that have purchased tender documents for two national fixed-wireless CDMA licences: they are Telekom Srbija, Mobilkom Serbia (VIP Mobile), cable operators Serbia Broadband (SBB) and KDS-NS, ISP Media Works, Romanian DTH provider Digit Sat, ABA Net from the US and Estonia’s NetTelFon. The winning bidders will be announced on 19 May. The ten year concessions carry a minimum price of EUR500,000 (USD665,500) each.
