GTS Novera to exit residential fixed line sector

20 Mar 2009

Czech telecoms operator GTS Novera is exiting the country’s residential telecoms market in order to focus on the business market, the company said in a press release. GTS said that as part of the change in strategic focus, its roughly 20,000 residential and SME customers would be passed over to T-Mobile. The firm’s director Stuart Evans said that following an acquisition and consolidation phase, GTS’s clear priority going forward is to deliver telecoms services to the public sector as well as to companies and corporations in the Czech Republic. Residential users and small businesses have been informed of the change by letter. The process of migrating to T-Mobile will be free of charge GTS said.
