TDM pushes ahead with fibre deployment

3 Mar 2009

Telecomunicacoes de Mocambique (TDM) has completed the deployment of a fibre-optic cable link between the cities of Pemba and Nampula as part of its construction of a national transmission network. The new cable runs for 422km, Macauhub reports, and will improve access to reliable high speed communications for a number of towns and cities along its route. All provincial capitals will eventually be linked to the national backbone network, with work expected to be completed later this year.
