Worldmax increases mobile WiMAX download speeds

19 Dec 2008

Dutch WiMAX operator Worldmax has upgrades its mobile download speeds on commercial WiMAX services to 5Mbps, Cellular-News reports. The upgrade is available to all customers through a simple software download and adjustment to their subscription. The network optimisation to Worldmax’s 3.5GHz infrastructure was carried out in partnership with WiMAX chip partner Beceem. In 2009 the operator is confident it can introduce a 32Mbps connection speed on its network.
