Bulgarian telecoms regulator the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) has cancelled the tender for two mobile telecoms licences after it received no bids by the 27 November deadline. Three companies were reported to have bought tender paperwork, including Globul, the country’s second-largest mobile operator. This is the second time this year that the CRC has cancelled the tender: in July it had to scrap the tender after attracting a single bid – from Liechtenstein-registered Telco – which did not fully meet the tender criteria.
