3G licence issuing delayed by CRA

2 Dec 2008

According to Limun.hr, the Bosnian telecoms regulator Communications Regulatory Agency (CRA) has stated that the issuing of 3G licences will be delayed. The regulator is understood to be in the process of making adjustments to the licences, claiming that oversights by the Council of Ministers had been discovered. It has not been revealed what the oversights are, but the CRA has said that the adjustments do not concern the conditions for issuing licences. The Council issued its framework in May 2008 and operators including BH Telecom expected commercial 3G services to be launched by end-2008, having already submitted preliminary applications for the licences. No date has been given for the resolution of the issue by the CRA.
