Broadband expands in Portugal

The Portuguese telecoms regulator Anacom says the country was home to 1.6 million fixed broadband internet subscribers at the end of September, an increase of 31,000 in the three months from June. There were 2.13 million mobile broadband lines in service at the same date, up 185,000 in the third quarter, while the number of dial-up internet users dropped by 11,000 to 45,000.
