Limun.hr is reporting that the transport and communication minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Nail Seckanovic, has confirmed that discussions will take place with representatives of Croatian telco T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT) regarding the registering of HT Mostar as a joint stock company. T-HT currently holds a 39.1% stake in the Bosnian telco, and in August 2008 announced it would look to increase this when the operator was privatised. The announcement comes after the FBiH Securities Commission issued a request to bring HT Mostar’s status in line with regulation, ordering that it be registered as a joint stock company. One of the core factors for the delay of the process of is that T-HT aims to retain its pre-emptive purchase right, but this will be lost if the HT Mostar becomes a joint stock company, rather than retain its current status as a limited company. No dates have been revealed for a decision on the matter.
