Globacom undersea cable to be completed by March 2009

Globacom says that its 9,500km undersea fibre-optic cable connecting Nigeria to the UK will be completed in March 2009. The submarine cable will have a final capacity of 640Gbps and will initially land in Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Portugal and the UK, with landing points in other west African countries expected by the fourth quarter of 2009.
