NSN inks GSM network deal with m:tel

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has announced that it has bagged a deal that will see it extend and enhance the GSM network of Telekom Srpske’s mobile subsidiary, m:tel. The agreement will see NSN expand m:tel’s coverage to 99% of the population, as well as upgrade the radio and core equipment in order to allow the cellco to offer advanced mobile data services at higher speeds. Predrag Culibrk, CEO of Telekom Srpske commented, ‘This investment is the foundation for our future expansion in Bosnia and Herzegovina and enables m:tel to provide better network coverage and quality of services as well as increasing network capacity to accommodate the influx of new subscribers. We will also be able to leverage innovative technologies to improve our existing services and to offer new ones to our more than one million existing subscribers.’
