ZON going mobile

30 Sep 2008

The Portuguese cable operator ZON Multimedia says it will launch its mobile resale service at the end of October, using spare capacity on the network of Vodafone Portugal. ZON will be concentrating its marketing efforts on the 1.5 million households currently connected to its cable TV services, offering bundles of television, internet and wireline and wireless telephony services. The firm says it is not aiming to challenge the country’s established cellular operators TMN, Vodafone and Optimus, but is trying to improve customer loyalty among its existing client base.
