KPN, NSN launch Dutch mobile TV

Dutch fixed line and mobile operator KPN Telecom and Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) have launched a mobile TV service in the country offering users access to ten television channels over a broadcast network based on the Digital Video Broadcast for Handheld (DVB-H), the European standard for mobile television. Nokia and NSN have provided KPN with a turnkey head-end solution for the new mobile TV service, which expects to add more channels to the offering in the future, the company said.
