TRC publishes MVNO regs

12 Aug 2008

Jordanian regulator the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) has published its decision on the provisioning of mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services (TRC Board Decision No.8-16/2008). In the document the watchdog states that companies wishing to act as an MVNO will require an Individual Licence. The TRC will allocate unique blocks of 10,000 numbers to MVNOs in accordance with the national numbering plan. MVNOs will be required to pay 10% of operating revenues (net of service tax) to the TRC, annually in arrears.
