CRC cancels GSM tender

6 Aug 2008

Bulgarian telecoms regulator the Communications Regulations Commission (CRC) has cancelled a tender for the country’s fourth wireless licence after it attracted only a single – incomplete – bid. A total of twelve companies, mostly Bulgarian, bought documents to participate in the auction, although at the closing date for submission of bids on 29 July only Liechtenstein-registered Telco had submitted a bid. However, the documentation submitted by Telco was found to be incomplete, and after the additional paperwork was not received within seven days, the CRC cancelled the whole process.
