Globacom submarine cable to be completed by May 2009

Globacom COO Mohammed Jameel has said that the company’s USD250 million 9,500km submarine cable will be completed by May 2009, reports IDG News Service. ‘Glo submarine cable is expected to reach Ghana by May 2009 and shortly after, Nigeria,’ he said in a statement. The entire cable is expected to run from London to 14 west African countries, with a dedicated link to the US. ‘It will enable more services and products to be introduced by Globacom,’ the executive added.
