Dialog extends 3G reach

Dialog Telekom, Sri Lanka’s largest cellco by subscribers, has expanded its 3G/3.5G network coverage to Mannipai, Jaffna, after deploying a total of 530 3G base stations in the country to date. Dialog customers in the region will now be able to enjoy video calling and a range of high speed mobile data-driven applications via W-CDMA/HSDPA technology. Dialog’s 3G network spans Greater Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Nuwara Eliya, Monaragala, Ampara, Trincomalee, Jaffna and other towns in Sri Lanka.
