Starcomms lists on NSE

16 Jul 2008

Following the recent private placement which raised over NGN64 billion (USD550 million), the shares of Starcomms have been listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). The move makes Starcomms the first listed Nigerian telco. Business Day reports that the private placement provided the WiLL operator with a substantial amount of capital for future growth, and that private equity investors Actis and Emerging Capital Partners had both sold their respective stakes in the company.
