Portugal Telecom to become sole DTT provider

10 Jul 2008

Portuguese regulator Anacom has now granted Portugal Telecom (PT) licences for pay-DTT services and free-to-air DTT channels. PT will need to confirm its acceptance of the licences in under a week to become the only company managing Portugal’s entire DTT offering. Pay-DTT channels will occupy multiplexes B to F, with free-to-air channels on multiplex A. PT plans to launch commercial services from April 2009.
