ChinaTel completes Beijing WiMAX network for CECT-Chinacomm

ChinaTel, via its newly acquired subsidiary Trussnet USA, has announced that it has completed the installation of the first phase of a wireless broadband network in Beijing for Chinese telco CECT-Chinacomm, providing coverage of approximately 100 square kilometres of the capital. Trussnet reportedly has contracts with CECT-Chinacomm Communications to install WiMAX networks in 29 cities. The new network is based on WiMAX and Mesh Wi-Fi technologies and uses the 3.5GHz spectrum band.
