Optimus launches new IM service

8 Jul 2008

The Portuguese cellular operator Optimus has selected NeuStar’s Next Generation Messaging solution to provide its converged instant messaging (IM) and new IP-based services. The new service will also support Microsoft’s Windows Live Messenger platform. ‘We have a huge belief in IM, which is why we are launching an ISP and an Optimus-branded service simultaneously,’ said Jose Pinto Correia, CTO at Optimus, in a statement.
