Vodafone Fiji signs up 600,000th customer

Fijian mobile operator Vodafone Fiji has celebrated 14 years of operations in the country by announcing the signing of its 600,000th customer. The cellco began offering GSM-900 services in July 1994 and its network comprised 121 base stations at December 2007, offering coverage of more than 60% of Fiji’s population, predominantly on the two largest islands of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
