Dutch cableco Ziggo picks Amdocs platform

25 Jun 2008

Amdocs, a leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Dutch cable operator Ziggo has selected the Amdocs OSS Suite to deliver a unified platform for resource and inventory management across all its business units. The cable operator – formed through the merger of CATV providers @Home, Casema, and Multikabel – will integrate the entire Ziggo network with Amdocs’ suite of products to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and decrease time to market for launching new services. Commenting on the Amdocs contract Paul Hendriks, chief technology officer of Ziggo, said: ‘After the consolidation of the Casema and Multikabel networks, we were faced with multiple legacy systems to manage 3.3 million households, 1.4 million broadband internet customers, 900,000 digital TV customers and 750,000 telephony subscribers. By consolidating to Amdocs OSS we hope to better serve our customers by automating business processes that will generate a consistent experience.’
