AIS launches tit-for-tat lawsuit against Hutch

2 Jun 2008

Thailand’s Advanced Info Service (AIS) has filed a lawsuit against Hutchison CAT Wireless Multimedia seeking compensation of THB45 billion (USD1.4 billion). AIS says Hutch has falsely accused it of blocking calls between the Hutch and AIS networks. It says it is seeking compensation for damage to its reputation, business opportunity losses and expenses related to correcting misleading media reports. Hutchison CAT had previously filed a suit against AIS claiming THB30 billion for the blocked calls.
