Moroccan national broadcaster Societe Nationale de Radiodiffusion et de Television (SNRT) has launched mobile TV services based on DVB-H technology, with coverage of an area encompassing the country’s capital, Rabat, and largest city by population, Casablanca. The mobile broadcast platform was implemented under a contract with Finnish communications technology giant Nokia. SNRT says it plans to expand the service to a further eight cities by the end of this year and a total of 20 cities by the end of 2009.
