Bulgaria’s telecoms regulator, the Communications Regulations Commission (CRC), has revealed that it has received eleven expressions of interest in the country’s fourth mobile licence, writes daily newspaper Dnevnik. The CRC would not disclose the names of the bidders, but at least four companies have made public their intentions: Bulgarian firms Max Telecom, Trans Telecom and Carrier BG, as well as Turkish cellco Turkcell. The country’s three existing cellcos – Telekom Austria’s M-Tel, OTE’s Globul and BTC’s Vivatel – have said they had no intentions to bid for the 1800MHz licence.
