KPN deploys Scopus IP-headend

21 May 2008

Digital video networking solutions provider Scopus Video Networks says it has deployed an IP-headend solution for Dutch former monopoly KPN Telecom. The new platform will allow the telco to deliver audiovisual content over an IP network using Scopus’ customised solution. KPN currently offers its customers more than 180 video and audio channels via its fibre-optic network. The installation of Scopus’ dense UE-9240 four-channel MPEG-2 Universal Encoders and IVG-7100 IP streamers for routing and processing content will help facilitate the expansion of KPN’s triple-play offerings.
