Starcomms seeks five million subscribers

7 Mar 2008

Starcomms has announced plans to aggressively expand its fixed wireless CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network to more cities as it targets a proposed subscriber base of five million. The company hit the one million subscriber mark at the end of 2007, more than double the level in June. More than 30 cities have been targeted for coverage, and Managing Director Maher Qubain says that the company hopes to reach two million customers by the end of 2008, and five million in the next two to three years.
