7 Mar 2008

According to AllAfrica.com, Globacom will deploy 60,000 fixed wireless access lines throughout Nigeria within the next few weeks. COO Martins Olowonihi said that by the end of September 2009 the company will have rolled out 300,000 such lines spread throughout each of the country’ six geopolitical zones. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, Globacom was awarded Nigeria’s second national operator (SNO) licence in August 2002 and received the country’s fourth nationwide GSM concession as part of the bundle.
