Canadian mobile, fixed line and broadband operator Rogers Communications has posted net income of CAD254 million (USD251.6 million) for the fourth quarter of 2007, up 44% from CAD176 million a year ago, on revenues that rose 13% to CAD2.69 billion. Growth in Rogers’ wireless business was the main driver of its results, as GSM mobile turnover climbed by 17% year-on-year, compared to CDMA-based rivals Bell Canada’s 8.4% and Telus’ 8.8% increases in the quarter. Rogers’ wireless data revenue rose 48% y-o-y to CAD192 million.
