Verizon expands FiOS TV

14 Dec 2007

Verizon Communications has launched its FiOS TV service in Portland, Oregon, increasing to 13 the number of states where the telco offers television services over its fibre networks. Verizon says FiOS TV is available to 152,000 households in the Portland metropolitan area, with further expansions planned. Verizon had 717,000 FiOS TV customers at the end of September, plus 1.3 million internet subscribers on its high speed networks. Its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) networks are now deployed in 1,700 cities in 16 states, though not all properties have access to Verizon’s television services.
